PSAC Faces Legal Challenges from Suspended Executives
Canada’s largest public service union, PSAC, is facing at least three lawsuits from sidelined executives, including Eddy Bourque and Sargy Chima of the Canada Employment and Immigration Union, who were suspended for initially opposing a labor agreement with the federal government. They claim negligence and defamation, seeking over $1 million each in damages and reinstatement. Additionally, Alisha Kang, former president of the Union of National Employees, alleges she was suspended for intending to expose financial irregularities within the union. PSAC has not commented on the ongoing internal investigations.
