Protesters Clash at Toronto City Hall

Eight individuals were arrested and 29 charges filed during a protest and counter-protest in downtown Toronto, where tensions escalated between groups, including a Canada First rally. Among those arrested, three face charges for allegedly assaulting police officers, and others are charged with various offenses, including unlawful assembly and carrying concealed weapons. The Toronto Police Association condemned the violence, stating that officers were attacked with projectiles. All accused are scheduled to appear in court on February 26, 2026.
