Authorities in Argentina have launched a criminal investigation into Patricia Kadgien and her husband Juan Carlos Cortegoso, the daughter of a former Nazi officer, after recovering a stolen 18th-century painting, Portrait of a Lady, linked to Jewish art dealer Jacques Goudstikker. The couple faces charges of obstruction of justice for allegedly concealing the artwork, which is now sought for restitution by Goudstikker’s heirs.
