Priest who let Sabrina Carpenter film video in church stripped of his duties

Monsignor Jamie Gigantiello has been stripped of his duties at Our Lady of Mount Carmel – Annunciation Parish in Brooklyn after an investigation revealed mismanagement and serious violations of diocesan policies. Bishop Robert Brennan appointed Bishop Witold Mroziewski as administrator of the Parish to safeguard public trust and protect church funds. Gigantiello had previously faced criticism for allowing Sabrina Carpenter to film her ‘Feather’ music video at the church, leading to further scrutiny and revelations of unauthorized financial transfers and personal expenses on a church credit card.
