Law enforcement in Pinellas County, Florida, arrested James Farthing, a 50-year-old Kentucky man who had just won a $167 million Powerball jackpot, after he allegedly kicked a deputy in the face during a fight at the TradeWinds Resort. Charged with felony battery on a law enforcement officer and other misdemeanors, Farthing was also accused of punching another guest. Despite his recent lottery win, he remains in custody due to a parole violation from a prior incident in Kentucky, while his girlfriend, Jaqueline Fightmaster, was charged with disorderly intoxication.
