Powerball Jackpot Reaches $1.8 Billion
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — The Powerball drawing on Saturday will feature an estimated $1.8 billion jackpot, the second highest in history, after over 40 consecutive drawings without a winner. The prize, which can be taken as 30 payments over 29 years or a cash option of about $826.4 million, comes with odds of 1 in 292.2 million and is available in 45 states, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
