Port of Montreal longshore workers to hold one-day strike on Sunday

Longshore workers at the Port of Montreal will go on a one-day strike on Sunday, affecting all four terminals, as contract negotiations continue to stall. The 1,200 workers have been on an overtime strike since October 10, with a previous walkout involving only two terminals. Federal Labour Minister proposed mediation, but parties remain unable to agree on a negotiated settlement for the expired contract.
