Pope Francis seen praying in first photo since his hospitalization a month ago

A photo released by the Vatican on Sunday showed Pope Francis for the first time since he entered Gemelli Hospital over a month ago for bronchitis. Seated in a wheelchair in the hospital’s private chapel, he was praying after celebrating mass, wearing a white cassock and purple stole. While in stable condition and responding well to treatment, Francis has been hospitalized for bronchitis, a polymicrobial infection, and double pneumonia, with his only public appearance being in an audio message to supporters in early March.
