NYPD advises public to avoid area during IED investigation

The NYPD has closed off a section of East End Avenue in Manhattan as they investigate a potential terror plot involving improvised explosive devices (IEDs) linked to protests outside Gracie Mansion. Three devices were recovered, with one confirmed as an IED capable of causing serious harm. Two suspects, Emir Balat and Ibrahim Kayumi, were arrested after one allegedly threw an explosive into a crowd during a confrontation between opposing protest groups. The investigation continues.
