Tens of thousands in damages after theft of Pokemon cards

Pokemon cards have surged in value, making card shops in British Columbia targets for thieves. Brandon Chreptyk, owner of House of Cards in Abbotsford, reported a break-in where burglars stole thousands in merchandise, including Pokemon cards, after smashing a window and bypassing security in under two minutes. A similar incident occurred at Zephyr Epic in Surrey just a day prior, highlighting a troubling trend as police investigate both cases.
