A plus-sized female rapper from Michigan, Dajua Blanding, filed a lawsuit against Lyft, claiming a driver refused to pick her up due to her weight, which she recorded. The driver suggested ordering a larger vehicle, but Blanding retained attorneys and is suing for discrimination based on weight, a protected characteristic in Michigan. Lyft stated it condemns all forms of discrimination and prohibits harassment or discrimination in its community guidelines and terms of service.
