Plane crashes at Pomona dragstrip, jolting NHRA championship finals

Two people were critically injured when a single-engine plane crashed near the In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip during the National Hot Rod Assn. finals championship event. First responders noticed the low-flying plane and rushed to the scene to provide emergency medical and fire assistance. The aircraft, carrying four people, attempted to land at Brackett Field Airport before crashing, causing fuel spillage and damage to vehicles and trailers.
