Plainfield residents under shelter-in-place amid barricade incident – NBC Chicago

Some residents in suburban Plainfield were asked to shelter-in-place after a man barricaded himself inside a home following an incident reported by a female caller in the 25000 block of Dina Court. A large police presence, including officers from Plainfield, Joliet, and SWAT, established a perimeter around the area, advising residents to stay indoors within a quarter-mile radius. Road closures were in effect, and schools nearby were notified as the situation unfolded, with the female caller being transported to a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
