Pinterest Layoffs for AI Investment
Pinterest announced plans to reduce its workforce by 15% to focus resources on enhancing its artificial intelligence capabilities, affecting fewer than 15% of its 4,666 employees. The restructuring will also involve office space reductions and is expected to incur pre-tax charges of $35 million to $45 million, completing by September 30, 2026. A spokesperson emphasized the need for AI-proficient talent to support the company’s AI-forward strategy.
