‘Kiss the soil’: Displaced Palestinians return home after Gaza ceasefire

Tens of thousands of forcibly displaced Palestinians are returning to their devastated homes in Gaza following a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas after 15 months of war. The truce, which was delayed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, allowed for the population of Gaza to finally come back to their homes. Despite the delay, celebrations and relief were felt among the people of Gaza, with some expressing their longing to reunite with loved ones and their homeland.
