Philippine Ambassador Presents Credentials to President of Burkina Faso

Philippine Ambassador Mersole J. Mellejor presented his credentials to President Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso, expressing a commitment to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries. President Traoré thanked President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for appointing an ambassador and highlighted the importance of cooperation with the Philippines. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 2002, with Filipinos in Burkina Faso mainly involved in academia, religious missions, and the gold mining sector.
