Grace Curwood and her seven children experienced a devastating fire at their Dunedin home on January 25, losing nearly all their possessions. While at the movies with two of her children, a neighbor notified her of the blaze. In a desperate act, Curwood rushed back home and re-entered the fiery house to save her 14-month-old dog, Sumo, who was crated inside.
