Thousands of people have signed a counter-petition to keep the Greene King pub The Midget’s name in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, after a rebrand was announced. The original petition, signed by over 1,300 people, called for the name change due to its offensive nature towards people with dwarfism, but the brewery decided to rename the pub The Roaring Raindrop. In response, more than 2,800 locals signed a counter-petition arguing that the original name is part of Abingdon’s history and should not be changed.
