Perth Zoo has unveiled a $11.7 million gibbon enclosure, expanding the space for critically endangered apes and allowing visitors to observe their acrobatics from below. This opening follows a recent tragedy in the zoo’s gibbon population, as a baby born to a white-cheeked gibbon did not survive despite a cesarean attempt by experts.
