A passenger plane’s tail caught fire before takeoff with 176 people on board at Gimhae International Airport in South Korea, all safely evacuated. The Air Busan flight bound for Hong Kong had 169 passengers and 7 crew members, with three injured but in non-serious condition. In a separate incident in December, a Jeju Air plane crashed at Muan International Airport, killing all but two of the 181 people on board, after its landing gear failed to deploy upon returning from Bangkok.
