A 36-year-old teacher, Erika Mattson, from Kaleidoscope School of Discovery in Panama City, was arrested for allegedly engaging in a sexual relationship with an 18-year-old student beginning in May 2023. The relationship reportedly started after the student comforted Mattson in her classroom and developed through messaging, continuing even after his graduation. Despite the student’s age, Mattson faces felony charges as she held an authority position at the school during the relationship.
