Abrar signed by Sunrisers in Hundred auction

Pakistani leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed has been signed by Sunrisers Leeds for £190,000 ($254,000) during the Hundred auction, despite previous concerns regarding Indian-owned teams avoiding Pakistani players. The England and Wales Cricket Board emphasized that nationality should not affect player selection. Abrar has taken 52 wickets in 38 T20 matches since his debut in 2024. The Hundred will take place from July 21 to August 16, featuring a unique 100-ball format.
