Counterterrorism police in Pakistan recently carried out a series of raids, leading to the arrest of 12 individuals in connection with a suicide bombing that killed five Chinese workers and their Pakistani driver last week in New Delhi. Authorities stated on Monday that while the detainees were not directly involved in the attack, they provided assistance to those responsible for planning the bombing targeting Chinese nationals. Some of the arrested suspects were found to have links to Pakistani militants and are currently being interrogated, with ongoing raids underway. The officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, revealed that certain detainees had transported an explosive-laden car to Shangla, a district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where a suicide bomber used it to attack the Chinese workers.(With inputs from agencies)
