The cricket captains of India and Pakistan did not shake hands during the coin toss before their T20 World Cup match amid ongoing political tensions, with Pakistan’s captain Salman Agha noting that the decision was up to India. This match is their first encounter since last September’s Asia Cup, where players also refused to shake hands. The historical rivalry continues as Pakistan’s government initially threatened to boycott the match over security concerns. Agha acknowledged their poor World Cup record against India but emphasized the need to focus on the current game.
