Pakistani security forces conducted a raid on a militant hideout in Dera Ismail Khan, resulting in a fierce gunbattle that claimed the lives of an army captain and 10 militants. The slain officer, Capt. Hasnain Akhtar, was hailed for his brave leadership during the operation. The militants, identified as TTP, were described as “Khwarij” by the military, highlighting their extremist ideology and ties to the Afghan Taliban.
