Padres reliever Jason Adam carted off field with left leg injury

SAN DIEGO (AP)

All-Star reliever Jason Adam of the San Diego Padres was carted off the field after injuring his left knee while attempting to field a ground ball during the seventh inning against the Baltimore Orioles. Adam, who had an 8-3 record and 1.81 ERA, reported feeling a “pop” in his knee before being replaced by fellow All-Star Robert Suarez.
