Protesters in central London have caused multiple streets to be closed off this afternoon, as police enforce measures for the annual Al Quds protest and a counter protest by Stop The Hate. The Al Quds organizers were set to gather at Marble Arch and move towards Portland Place, with a rally planned to finish by 5.30pm. Chief Superintendent Stuart Bell emphasized the police’s role in facilitating peaceful protests while minimizing disruption to the wider community, as roads around Bond Street and Oxford Circus remain shut due to the demonstrations.
