Opener’s century gives Bangladesh lead in second Test

Opener Shadman Islam scored a career-best 120, leading Bangladesh to 7-291 at stumps on day two of the second Test against Zimbabwe, giving them a 64-run lead. Despite his efforts, Bangladesh faced a late collapse, losing four wickets for just 20 runs, including Mominul Haque (33) and captain Najmul Hossain Shanto (23), while Zimbabwe’s debutant legspinner Vincent Masekesa took 3-44. Zimbabwe leads the two-match series 1-0 after their three-wicket victory in the first Test in Sylhet.
