OpenAI Unveils New A.I. Agent for Research

OpenAI has introduced a new A.I. tool called Deep Research that can gather and synthesize information from the internet quickly, offering concise reports in five to 30 minutes. Demonstrated in Washington, the technology can perform complex research tasks, generate questions, and provide citations, though it may struggle with accuracy and distinguishing authoritative information. Deep Research is available through ChatGPT Pro subscription and is based on OpenAI’s reasoning technology, o3, which uses neural networks to learn skills and make decisions.
