OpenAI launches new o3-mini model – here’s how free ChatGPT users can try it

OpenAI has released its latest models, o3 and o3-mini, which excel at reasoning and outperform o1 in benchmarks such as math and science. The o3-mini model is now available to all users in ChatGPT, with Pro users having unlimited access and Plus & Team users receiving triple the rate limits compared to o1-mini. Expert testers found that o3-mini delivers more accurate responses and reduces major errors by 39%, outperforming o1-mini in various STEM benchmarks.
