Bhaane Group, owned by Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja, has acquired Mumbai’s Rhythm House music store for 478.4 million rupees after it was shuttered in 2018 due to Nirav Modi’s financial scandal. The sale was confirmed by the official liquidator appointed by the Indian bankruptcy court, signaling the end of an era for the iconic cultural hub that hosted legendary musicians and Bollywood stars. Bhaane plans to expand its retail presence in the city and restore the store, which was once a popular destination for music lovers seeking vinyl, cassettes, and CDs.
