On International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, United Nations (UN) Women draws attention to femicides – Africa.com

On 25th November 2024, UN Women and UNODC will release the Femicides in 2023 report, revealing that a woman was killed every 10 minutes globally in 2023. A Media Café will be held to launch the report, followed by a press release, full report availability, and interview opportunities. The 16 Days of Activism campaign will focus on ending violence against women, culminating in a panel discussion and online conversation using #NoExcuse and #16days.
