Manchester United Confirms First Permanent January Departure
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Manchester United has officially confirmed that midfielder Sam Mather has completed his transfer to Kayserispor, marking the club’s first permanent outgoing of the January window. Initially close to a move last summer, Mather spent additional time in the academy before the transfer was finalized, ending a 14-year association with United without making a first-team appearance. He previously gained senior experience through loan spells at Rochdale and Tranmere Rovers. It remains uncertain if other players like Kobbie Mainoo or Joshua Zirkzee will leave before the transfer deadline.
