Official: Brahima Traoré no longer head coach of the Stallions
Burkina Faso has terminated the contract of national team coach Brahima Traoré following the team’s elimination in the Round of 16 at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. The Burkina Faso Football Federation cited unsatisfactory results, as the team aimed to reach at least the semifinals but suffered a 0-3 defeat to Ivory Coast. Traoré and his technical staff, who began their tenure in March 2024, have been relieved of their duties. The federation will soon begin the search for a new head coach.
