A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman, believed to be a hospital nurse, was seriously injured in Royal Oldham Hospital’s A&E department. The woman, in her 50s, suffered life-changing injuries after being attacked by a 37-year-old man with a bladed article. Police do not believe there is a threat to the wider public and are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
