NSW council elections: Clover Moore on track for sixth term; Liberals facing wipeout

Clover Moore, Australia’s longest-serving lord mayor, is poised to win a sixth term in Sydney as the Liberal Party faces losses in various NSW councils due to a nomination error. Vote counting for the 2024 local elections has been temporarily halted but will resume on Monday. Moore currently leads with 37% of the vote, followed by Labor at 17% and the Greens at 13%.
