A six-week installation honoring victims and survivors of the Nova Music Festival attack in Israel opens in Toronto on Wednesday.
The exhibition recreates the scene of the October 7, 2023, attack by Hamas, which resulted in nearly 400 deaths and numerous abductions among the 3,000 attendees. Featuring personal belongings left behind and multimedia displays, the installation emphasizes the tragic event’s impact and conveys a message of resilience, as expressed by survivor Shani Ivgi, who advocates for a future defined by light and life despite the darkness experienced.
