‘Nosferatu’, ‘A Complete Unknown’ Enter ‘Sonic’ Fueled Christmas Box Office

Focus Features’ Nosferatu, Searchlight’s A Complete Unknown, A24’s Babygirl, and Rachel Morrison’s The Fire Inside are set to boost the Christmas week box office to a potential $280M, on par with last year’s holiday numbers. Despite the lack of a major tentpole release, family titles like Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Mufasa, Wicked, and Moana 2 are contributing to a lucrative season. Paramount’s Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Disney’s Mufasa are expected to lead the box office, with Wicked and Moana 2 also performing well. The adult offerings include R-rated films, with Amazon MGM Studios’ The Fire Inside being the only PG-13 release.
