She criticizes Brexit and advocates for a planned approach to the potential poll. However, Ireland’s Prime Minister Micheal Martin has previously stated that a border poll won’t happen before 2030. Deputy First Minister Emma Little Pengelly highlighted that nationalist and republican movements in Northern Ireland have not significantly increased their vote share since 1998, despite attempts to create momentum towards a breakup of the union.
