Noem to tour notorious El Salvador prison

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is set to tour El Salvador’s Terrorism Confinement Center with the Salvadoran Minister of Justice and President Nayib Bukele as part of a three-day trip to Colombia and Mexico. The facility, opened in 2023, holds alleged criminal illegal aliens, including 21 Salvadoran MS-13 gang members deported by the Trump administration. The prison, which can house up to 40,000 inmates, operates under a state of emergency and has faced criticism for its harsh conditions and lack of due process.
