Aliko Dangote, Chairman of the Dangote Group, plans to invest $400 million to expand the Mugher cement plant in Ethiopia, doubling its capacity to 5 million tons per year despite previous challenges. The move reflects confidence in Ethiopia’s business environment and includes potential investments in the Omo Kuraz Sugar Company and a urea production facility, pending natural gas sector development, to drive economic progress in Africa.
