This achievement ties the record for the most medals won by Team GB at a Winter Olympics, matching the totals from 2014 and 2018. Atkin, who holds dual UK-American citizenship, had previously won the superpipe competition at the Aspen X Games. Additionally, Team GB made history with two gold medals in one day, with wins in mixed team snowboarding and mixed team skeleton.
