Teledyne FLIR Defense has secured a contract from the German Army to supply Black Hornet 4 nano-drones, enhancing reconnaissance capabilities for small military units. Weighing just 70 grams, these advanced drones can fly for over 30 minutes, operate in challenging weather, and are equipped with high-resolution cameras for day and night surveillance. The trend towards smaller drones continues as they offer stealth and cost-effectiveness, making them ideal for modern warfare. Innovations are underway globally, including mosquito-sized drones for reconnaissance purposes.
