New York Liberty announce two players will miss 2025 WNBA season

The New York Liberty announced that training camp signees Raquel Carrera and Seehia Rirad will not participate in the 2025 season due to personal decisions. Carrera, a Spanish power forward from Valencia Basket, was drafted by the Atlanta Dream but has yet to play in the WNBA, while Rirad, a French power forward, recently underwent surgery. The Liberty currently have 14 players under contract, including 8 returning players, and will finalize their roster with 12 players, although the health status of Betnijah Laney-Hamilton could impact the final selection.
