After a devastating fire destroyed Sutton Tools New Zealand’s Kaiapoi factory in January 2022, the company has now opened a new, modern facility in Rangiora, Canterbury, at a cost of $40 million. The new factory, equipped with high-tech equipment, aims to increase diversification, innovation, and services, with plans for growth and expansion. Despite the emotional attachment to Kaiapoi, the move to Rangiora provides a strategic location in a growing industrial area, allowing for improved efficiency and productivity for the company’s operations.
