Ten inmates escaped from Orleans Justice Center, slipping through a hole and scaling a barbed-wire fence before vanishing into the night. Among them was Corey Boyd, accused of murdering Dawn Cook’s son, Brandon Fees, which has left Cook frustrated with the slow legal process. As law enforcement launched a manhunt using facial recognition technology, several inmates were recaptured, but by the week’s end, half remained at large, including a convicted killer known as Derrick Groves.
