A United States Coast Guard rescue swimmer, Petty Officer 3rd Class Scott Ruskan, is being hailed as a hero for rescuing nearly 200 individuals during severe flooding in Central Texas, including 165 victims as the sole triage coordinator on his first mission. Tragically, the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office reported 68 fatalities, including 40 adults and 28 children, with ongoing search efforts for unaccounted Camp Mystic campers.
