Fuel Finder Scheme Launches to Help Drivers Locate Cheaper Petrol

A new UK law requires all filling stations to report fuel price changes within 30 minutes, aiding drivers in finding cheaper petrol and diesel through various apps accessing the Fuel Finder database. Currently, petrol averages 131.91p per litre, the lowest since July 2021, while diesel is 140.97p. This initiative follows recommendations from the Competition and Markets Authority to enhance competition among retailers and improve price transparency for consumers. The government aims to support businesses in compliance until enforcement begins in May.
