Android Trojan “Datzbro” Targets Seniors with Fake Facebook Events

Cybersecurity researchers have identified a new Android banking trojan named Datzbro, which targets the elderly by executing device takeover (DTO) attacks and conducting fraudulent transactions. Discovered by Dutch mobile security firm ThreatFabric in August 2025, the threat emerged after reports of scammers managing Facebook groups aimed at seniors.
