HBO’s upcoming spinoff, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, features Ser Duncan the Tall (Dunk) and his young squire Egg, a secret Targaryen prince, embarking on an adventure set ninety years before Game of Thrones. The series, based on George R.R. Martin’s Tales of Dunk and Egg, showcases a more grounded narrative, departing from the epic battles of its predecessors. Season one will adapt The Hedge Knight, with a second season already confirmed. It premieres this January, alongside House of the Dragon next summer.
